KLARA Deck Soap – Complete Kit 3 L
A carefully composed kit for those who want to clean their deck properly, with the right tools from the start. Everything needed for efficient, gentle and even deck soaping – whether for a patio, dock or outdoor space.
The kit includes 3 liters of deck soap. As a general guideline, 1 liter typically covers approximately 20–30 m² under normal conditions.
The 300 mm stiff wide deck brush provides solid pressure and reach when cleaning larger surfaces, while the stiff detail brush is used around edges, corners and other tight areas.
During the main treatment, the deck soap is applied using the scrubbing cloth. It distributes the soap evenly across the surface and allows it to work into the wood without raising the grain. The method creates a calmer finish and a more controlled result, especially when the soap is left to dry in.
All mixing is done in the sturdy bucket, designed specifically for use with deck soap and wide brushes.
Together, the kit forms a method that works with the wood rather than against it. The result is a clean deck, more even aging and a surface that stays attractive longer – with less wear over time.
A complete kit for those who want to do the job properly, without shortcuts.

Overfatted deck soap – wood care, not just cleaning
Our deck soap is developed for those who want to care for the wood, not just make it look clean.
It cleans gently while reconditioning the surface and helping the deck retain its natural richness and resilience over time. The result is a deck that ages more evenly, feels more comfortable underfoot and becomes easier to maintain season after season.
This is deck care built on an understanding of wood – not quick fixes.
Three reasons to choose overfatted deck soap
For decking and the entire outdoor space
The deck soap is developed for exterior wood and works just as well on large surfaces as on smaller details. Use it on decking, stairs, railings, outdoor furniture and other wooden elements where you want to clean gently while caring for the surface.
If you’d like to see how to apply the method on different surfaces, read the guide here: Can you soap balcony railings, stairs and outdoor furniture?
How to use KLARA deck soap
Soak the deck thoroughly with a garden hose until the wood is fully saturated. Mix the deck soap in warm water and work section by section. Brush along the grain, allow it to work for a minute without drying, then rinse thoroughly.

Once the deck is clean and completely dry, apply the main treatment to restore its soft, matte finish and make it easier to maintain over time. Use a richer, overfatted soap mixture, apply along the grain and allow it to dry in. Do not rinse.

For most decks, one thorough treatment in spring is enough, followed by light maintenance as needed during summer and a final cleaning in autumn. A simple rhythm keeps the deck fresh without large seasonal projects.

Frequently asked questions
A soaped deck is normally not slippery when dry. In rain, all wooden surfaces can become more slippery, especially if algae or dirt is present. Regular cleaning and keeping the deck free from algae makes the biggest difference.
More practical answers here: Practical questions about deck soap
Yes. Pressure-treated decking often responds very well to regular soaping, as the method cleans gently while allowing the wood to breathe.

Deck soap is formulated specifically for exterior wood and is often overfatted, meaning it both cleans and reconditions the surface over time. Regular household soap may clean effectively, but does not always provide the same long-term wood care effect on decking.
